Over the past week quite a few photos have been added to the Greyhound Walks Show 2015 Facebook page (apologies to non Facebook users but this really is the easiest and most efficient way for people to share their photos - Proboards which hosts the forum is the devil for sharing multiple photos speedily and easily) - www.facebook.com/groups/1536082069981513/ and www.facebook.com/groups/1536082069981513/photos/

A few pictures from an old work colleague who came on Sunday. She said her and her daughter and grandsons had a fantastic time. She has a soft spot for Lurchers and was making a beeline for every one that she saw

p.s. Only feedback we would give would be the slow and not very user friendly arrangement for paying for parking on the way out - but that isn't controlled or organised by Greyhound Walks! (Perhaps it should be as everything GW was responsible for was first class!)
We knew it was going to be a nightmare, as did the rangers but there was nothing we could do to alleviate it. Can only suggest anyone who had a bad exiting experience write to the council and tell them like it really is. Abominable system!

I had such a wonderful day!
Met so many people who I've not seen in ages
Met so many people I've come to know from the Great British Greyhound Walk
Was bowled over by how stunning some of the dogs were
Am thrilled that feedback from stalls is so good and that they did so well
Was delighted to present Chelsea' Ambassadors Cup again this year, chioice was very hard, but what a winner!
Can't believe how hard the team worked to make it happen so smoothly and in such heat
Love the judges, love the stewards, love the volunteers
Came home with homemade cake
Made it into work without too many aches and pains

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the 8th GW Show, congratulations to all GW walkers who took home a rosette, and a big thank you to the tireless team of volunteers who pulled out all the stops to ensure that Dave Peacock's last show was a memorable one.
Lastly thank you to Dave - retiring after 8 years involvement (yes he really is this time) - as the person who sees how many hours he gives to make this all work, through his hard work he has made the Greyhound Walks Show a safe, successful, enjoyable and wonderful event.

As we did last year we will have a collection point in the Greyhound Walks Village for any old, unwanted, too large, too small, no longer in fashion collars and coats which are then sent to help the very many hounds in Spain who are rescued from the streets.
If you have 1,2 or even quite a few we would love to take them off you and send them on their way to our European friends to help their less fortunate hounds.
Thank you.

With the show fast approaching we're looking for items for our own stall at the show so if ...
you are a brilliant cook we're looking for cakes, cookies, biscuits and buns for the cake stall
love dogs and seeing them play and be spoilt we're looking for donations to the dog tombola
are clever with the knitting needles, needle and thread or with paint or crayons we'd like nice things for the GW craft stall
have unwanted presents that would be great for raffle prizes we can make very good use of them
If you can help in any way please bring anything along on the day and hand over to Mandy Brown or Debbie Albins who will be the Mothers of the Greyhound Walks Village
Thank you.
