Works well for me Shelly, and saves the bother of uploading them all again!
Thanks for posting, and for being official photographer today!

The link doesn't work for me, I get a screen come up saying the page isn't found because the link may be broken or removed? Any ideas anyone? I don't have a Facebook account - does that make a difference?

Me too Anne, I don't 'do' Facebook either. What a shame, I was looking forward to seeing them, there was certainly a lot of snapping going on with a new red camera! Hopefully someone will be able to help.
It was a lovely walk, thank you Andy & Jan.

I'm another one who doesn't do facebook so disappointed not to be able to view the photos. Nevertheless it was a very enjoyable walk - thank you Andy and Jan.

I think you need to be logged into Facebook for the link to work. I'm sorry, as I'm new posting here, I'm not sure how to post the album onto the Forum. I'm happy to do this if someone guides me through it.
Thanks

Shelley - there's no easy way unfortunately - hence us encouraging people to have a at least a try with Facebook.
What might work from my limited experience is:
if you used a smart phone to take the photos there's an option to upload to Photoboucket (which of course you need an account for) then from Photobucket take the individual links of the photos and paste them into a message on here - quite laborious )
You can use the Proboards app on a smart phone and upload photos direct to the forum but I believe these might just be thumbnails.
I've viewed the pictures and looks like Rickmansworth had fair weather and happy hounds

Just another quick comment about GBGW and Facebook - GBGW is now a HUGE project, we had 109 walks registered in the UK plus 41 around the world.
To manage all that is some feat and Facebook is the perfect vehicle for pulling all these people together easily to give the senses of family and community that the project strives for.
If you go to the GBGW Facebook page not only can you see your walk there but everyone else's as well, it is quite breathtaking how people have taken this event to their hearts and want to share their pride and joy, stories, and pleasure from the day.

That's very disappointing, one of the reasons I log into the forum is to see photos from the walks. It is a shame that those of us who don't want to get involved in Facebook have to miss out.

Ann unfortunately Facebook is technological progress, it has taken the place of forums as in it's day forums took the place of newsgroups, in the way that laptops took over from home PCs and now tablets are taking over from laptops.
For GW and our project GBGW we reach a far wider audience with Facebook than we could ever hope to with a forum and it is much easier and slicker to use for things like photo and information sharing.
If you choose not to use Facebook and you'd like to see the pictures from your walk I guess you need to hope that other Rickmansworth walkers can post them here.
The GBGW team will be publishing a gallery of photos to the GBGW website in the course of the next week or so, once we've scraped them and collated them off Facebook! There are literally hundreds and hundreds from all around the world, and they are definitely worth seeing

Hi All,
Try the link below - this should allow you to see the photo's via drop box without needing a drop box account/app etc....
www.dropbox.com/sh/8sb3i522xzy8215/AABMeBHyoN22crNBxypoI9z_a?dl=0
Drop box will bring up a sign in or create an account - but just ignore it and close the box, then the photos will appear. You can then save them if you want.
