Hope everyone has a really good time at the New Years Day Walk.
We were hoping to make this one, but with two dogs of our own and three foster dogs taken in just before Christmas sadly our car is not big enough for everyone.
We will be there in spirit and thinking of everyone.
Looks like a nice day for the walk.
Happy New Year to everyone.

It was a lovely walk yesterday, great weather and lovely atmosphere.
Well done to all who organised it and those who supplied all the refreshments, excellent cakes! Really good to catch up with people

What a great day for a walk!
It was our 1st time at Chelmsford. We usually attend the Royston Heath walk.
It really was a fantastic sight to see the 244+ dogs.
Lily the lurcher really enjoyed it, too. She's been full of beans today, and behaving just like a pup - she's 10 and a half!
It seemed too really boost her spirits, being with all the other dogs.
Thank you to the organisers, and all attendees.
Looking forward to the Royston Heath walk on the 27th

I took the leftover rocky road to work. It didn't last very long!

Overheard on the radio this morning this ...
A tradition binds a family together
I think that's very true.
As the New Years Day walk in Chelmsford has become the Greyhound Walks tradition so has the drawing in of the family and the wonderful feeling, despite the large numbers, of togetherness at this event.
Our first NYD walk at Hylands (one of the few, perhaps even the only, park in our area that can accommodate the numbers, but I'm ready to stand corrected) had 168 sight hounds, this year the 4th, 244 ... An achievement the Greyhound Walks family can be very proud of.
